In all transparency, this series had been in the making for some time. Upon the completion of over twenty pieces, I was uncertain how to move forward with them for they had become so personal, undoubtedly because of the narrative behind them. When the Rakim Collection was being realised, our MUSE had succumbed to health conditions that were life-threatening and rendered him to a solitary existence with little hope for a meaningful future.
Today he is thriving, alive and well. He is the epitome of JGR. I am so happy to have waited before revealing them.
